synopsis
My Dad The Spaceman follows a married couple who struggle to cope with everyday life after losing their daughter. We follow The Spaceman; a physics professor and sci-fi fanatic. In his grief, he becomes obsessed with the concept of time travel, believing that if he can only go back to the moment she died, he can save her.
the making of
I produced this film in my final year of university with Knocked Back Productions, the collective I co-founded with writer/director Conner Wait. This production was the largest, most ambitious project we had attempted at this stage in our careers, and it wasn't short of challenges. From fundraising, location scouting & managing a larger crew, all the way to catering and designing & assembling a time machine prop, this project saw me wearing many different hats.
